Start the replacement process by turning off the ignition before writing down the pre-set radio stations. Start by detaching the negative Battery Cable before you unscrew the b+ Battery Cable nut at the Starter and s-terminal nut. Laborers must first disassemble the engine block bolts securing both the upper and lower Starter assembly. Position the Starter first to the right side of the engine block before moving it left to exit the flywheel housing. To install the Starter place it inside the engine block (flywheel housing) before you install and torque the Starter mounting bolts to 40 n.m (30 lb ft). Application of installation involves attaching the b+ cable and nut followed by torqueing the b+ cable to Starter nut to 10 n.m (7 lb ft) and further tightening the s-terminal wire and nut to 5 n.m (4 lb ft). Connect the negative Battery Cable to the battery as the last step of the procedure.
