How to replace the starter motor on 2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo?

Before you remove the Starter motor, disconnect the negative cable from the battery. Next, unbolt the Starter solenoid bat terminal nut and the positive Battery Cable from the Starter motor, next remove the engine harness terminal and then the Starter motor electrical connector. After that, dismantle the air cleaner assembly and the Starter motor bolts to retrieve the Starter motor. For installation, connect the Starter motor to the engine and secure the Starter studs using a torque setting of 50 n.m (37 lb ft). Please, connect the Starter motor electrical connector, and put the engine harness terminal to the Starter motor. Refit the positive Battery Cable, followed by the Starter solenoid bat terminal nut, torqued to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Lastly, reinstall the air cleaner assembly and connect the negative Battery Cable.
