How to replace the rear axle lower control arm on 2006 Chevrolet SSR?

Start by supporting the vehicle when it's raised then use support tools to suspend the rear axle at the proper D - height. The removal process starts with taking out the rear axle lower control arm from its axle mounting nut and bolt before continuing with removing the rear axle lower control arm from its frame mounting nut and bolt and extracting the lower control arm. Start installation by putting the lower control arm into place followed by mounting the rear axle lower control arm to the frame while only tightening by hand. The Fastener Notice in Service Precautions requires attention before attaching the rear axle lower control arm to the axle since both bolts need to reach 100 Nm (74 ft. lbs.). After removing the rear axle support you should lower the vehicle.
