How to replace the upper fan shroud on 2006 GMC Sierra 3500?

The replacement process of the upper Fan Shroud starts with unclipping the ducts connecting the Throttle Body and maf sensor before removing the duct. Start the procedure by removing the hybrid control module (HCM) and then removing the Throttle Body heater hose retainer followed by the inlet radiator hose retainer from the Fan Shroud. Begin the process by uninstalling both studs that secure the Fan Shroud to the front of the vehicle. Attach the upper Fan Shroud correctly before tightening its bolts to 9 nm (80 inch lbs.). Put back the Fan Shroud retainers along with the inlet radiator hose retainer and the Throttle Body heater hose retainer to their positions on the Fan Shroud. You should replace both the hcm and the air cleaner outlet duct before securing the Throttle Body clamp at 4 nm (35 inch lbs.) and the maf sensor clamp at identical torque.
