How to replace the water pump (LY7) on 2007 Buick LaCrosse?

Start Water Pump replacement by draining the cooling system and taking off the generator Drive Belt. Set the Water Pump Pulley holding tool (EN 46104) to hold the Water Pump Pulley before unscrewing its bolts and lifting the pulley off altogether. Unbolt and take away both Water Pump bolts and Water Pump unit while getting rid of the worn Water Pump seal. Prepare Water Pump sealing surfaces perfectly after cleaning them before putting in a new Water Pump seal and Water Pump. Apply the Water Pump bolts with 10 n.m force before you put on the Water Pump Pulley and its bolts. The Water Pump Pulley holding tool (EN 46104) locks the pulley during bolt tightening. Torque the bolts to 12 n.m (106 lb in). Put back the generator Drive Belt and refill the cooling system as the last step.
