Begin by removing both stabilizer shaft links then lower the stabilizer shaft into an appropriate position. Begin by removing the plastic clip from the power steering gear heat shield then uninstall the heat shield retaining bolts. After heat shield removal install the new power steering gear heat shield while carefully following the fastener notice instructions for installation. Fit the heat shield into position before applying 9 n.m (80 lb in) torque to its retaining bolts. Afterward, reattach the plastic clip. Reinstall the stabilizer shaft links before lowering the vehicle.
