How to replace the rear brake caliper bracket on 2007 Buick Rainier?

Before working on the bracket you must lift the vehicle and detach the tire and wheel. Secure the brake caliper assembly with a heavy mechanic wire any time you detach it from its mount with the hydraulic flexible brake hose attached to shield the hose from damage. Find the brake caliper at the rear position and move it to a side location while examining the brake pads. Take out the front brake pads from their mounting position on the bracket to measure brake system parts. Unfasten the Brake Pad retaining clips from the mounting bracket then take out the brake caliper mounting bracket retaining bolts to free the caliper bracket. Check the brake rotor for damage when you remove guide pin seals from the brake caliper mounting bracket. Insert the guide pin seals first onto the mounting bracket. Before reinstalling the guide pins and Brake Pad retaining clips you should clean them with denatured alcohol then dry them with filtered air. Use high temperature silicone brake lubricant on the brake caliper guide pins but do not apply it to Brake Pad retaining clips. Fix the brake caliper mounting bracket in place while tightening its bolts at 200 n.m (148 lb ft). Put the Brake Pad hardware into the brake caliper mounting bracket and attach the brake pads to their slots. Reassemble the tire wheel and put back the brake caliper at its proper place. Lower the vehicle and press the brake pedal gently but firmly until the brake pads take their proper position.
