How to replace the rear brake caliper bracket on 2006 Buick Rainier?

Start your project by lifting the vehicle and taking off its tire and wheel. Hold up the brake caliper assembly with mechanic's wire when working if the mount splits off but keeps the flexible brake hose connected as this prevents brake fluid leaks through hose damage. Put the rear brake caliper on the side and examine the brake pads before taking out installation steps. Check hardware parts inside the front brake pads bracket before uninstallation. Unfasten the Brake Pad retaining clips from the mounting bracket and afterward take out its brake caliper mounting bracket retaining bolts to finally detach the brake caliper mounting bracket. Check the brake rotor while taking out the guide pin seals from the Brake Caliper Bracket mounting. Put the guide pin seals on top of the mounting bracket before moving forward. To prepare guide pins and clips for reuse wash them with denatured alcohol and blow them dry using filtered non-lubricated air. Trickle high temperature silicone brake lubricant onto the brake caliper guide pins at any spot except the Brake Pad retaining clips. Secure the brake caliper mounting bracket onto its bolts and fasten them to a torque setting of 200 nm (148 ft. Lbs.). Fasten the rear Brake Pad items to the brake caliper mounting plate before adding the Brake Pad hardware. Put back the rear brake caliper assembly then add tire and wheel parts before lowering the car. Press the brake pedal steadily and gradually so the brake pads find their correct position.
