    A: A technician should begin replacement of the A/C accumulator by extracting refrigerant from the A/C system. Begin by removing the condenser and then proceeding to take out the upper bracket bolt and finally the lower mounting bolts of the A/C accumulator. After removing the A/C accumulator you will need to throw away the associated sealing washers. The measurement of PAG oil for a new A/C accumulator needs to be added directly to the device. New sealing washers should be installed before connecting the A/C accumulator to the condenser while keeping all fastener notices in mind. Install lower mounting bolts first while tightening them to 6 N.m (53 lb in) then apply same torque when installing and tightening the upper bracket bolt. Reinstall the condenser after evacuating the A/C system then recharge it followed by final testing of fittings using the Halogen Leak Detector (J39400-A).
