    Q:
How to replace the A/C Accumulator on Buick Rendezvous? Posted by Customer
    A:
Following refrigerant recovery from the a/c system you should raise the vehicle while providing support before removing the A/C Accumulator. Detach the bolts which secure the radiator air deflector and remove the deflector piece. Before loosening the A/C Accumulator flare nuts you should tape or cap the open Evaporator inlet tubes immediately to stop contamination. Dominating the reusable A/C Accumulator from its position on the Evaporator tube marks the beginning of discarding the surrounding o-rings. The technician should first undo the caps or tape from the Evaporator inlet tubes before adding lubrication and installing new o-rings on both ends of each tube. The o-rings must achieve complete seating within the accumulator housing when you fully install the A/C Accumulator to its ferrules. Install the A/C Accumulator into the Evaporator inlet tube while aligning its arrow toward the Evaporator and fasten flare nuts to 15 n.m (11 lb ft). Screw back the radiator air deflector while fastening its bolts at 20 n.m (15 lb ft). Lower the vehicle while performing an evacuating and recharging procedure of the a/c system. Your final step should be leak testing the fittings of the component by using halogen leak detector (J 39400-A).

    Q:
How to replace the A/C Accumulator on Chevrolet Venture? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement of the A/C Accumulator begins with collecting all refrigerant from the system before supporting the vehicle at a raised position. Uninstall the bolts securing the radiator air baffle along with the removal of the baffle component. After loosening the A/C Accumulator flare nuts you should immediately seal the evaporator inlet tube and the condenser with caps and tape because contamination is prevented this way. Herewith you should remove the A/C Accumulator from the evaporator inlet tube before tossing out the o-rings. The evaporator inlet tube and condenser need their caps or tape removed before applying lubrication for new o-rings which must be installed to both ends of the tube. Complete seating of the A/C Accumulator on its ferrules becomes necessary to let the o-rings properly seat within the accumulator housing. Fasten the A/C Accumulator onto the evaporator inlet tube while the arrow is facing toward the evaporator and tighten nuts to 15 n.m (11 lb ft). The radiator air baffle along with its bolts needs installation after which you should tighten them to 20 n.m (15 lb ft). Procedure includes lowering the vehicle before conducting the evacuation and recharging of the a/c system. The halogen leak detector (J 39400-A) must be used to detect leaks from component fittings as the final step of the process.
