How to replace the front brake disc on 2007 Buick Rendezvous?

Before starting work elevate the vehicle onto suitable stands and properly secure it. Support the brake caliper with heavy mechanic's wire before you detach the tire and wheel assembly since it protects the hydraulic flexible brake hose from damage. After lifting the vehicle support the brake caliper assembly with wire while keeping the hydraulic brake hose connected. Take the disc off with the caliper bracket as one unit. You need to scrub all rust and contaminants from the Brake Disc base part before installing new discs. The rotor/drum flange resurfacing kit (J 41013) should be used to clean brake hub/axle flange surface before installing the Brake Disc. Also use the wheel hub/flange resurfacing kit (J 42450-A) to clean the wheel hub flange surface. After installing the Brake Disc place the caliper bracket above it. Put the tire and wheel on top and afterward lower the vehicle.
