2007 Cadillac CTS Washer Reservoir Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Washer Reservoir without CE4 on 2007 Cadillac CTS?
A: Enter the engine bay to remove the washer solvent container following these steps without ce4. First open the hood then lift the corner of the condenser seal to find the bolt locking the container neck to the upper tie bar. Take off the bolt attached to the upper tie bar and remove the washer solvent container cap. First kit the lower air deflector and front bumper fascia. Also take off the headlamp on the side opposite the driver from the passenger for left-hand drive cars or right-hand drive cars. First remove the washer solvent from the container before disconnecting the washer hose from the Washer Pump. Take out the electrical harness retainer clip from the container body. Take off both electrical components that connect to Washer Pump and level sensor before removing all screws from the container. Twist the clinch nut away from the horizontal bracket to disconnect it from the body rail. With care, raise the container from the body rail's key hole slot and lower the fill neck through the radiator support to take out the container from the car. Move the Washer Pump with its level sensor plus horizontal bracket and container cap to the new washer solvent container unit. Set the new container filler neck into the radiator support above it then push the electrical connection lock and thread the container over the bar stud. Fasten the container to the stud on the tie bar reinforcement panel using nuts 1,2, and 6 until they reach 6 n.m (53 lb in) torque. Secure the horizontal bracket nut and clinch nut to 6 n.m while tightening them both at the same torque. Set the washer hose to the Washer Pump first and attach the electrical connector and washer solvent level sensor connector to the Washer Pump. Put back the headlamp assembly plus both front bumper fascia and lower air deflector components. Use bolt to secure the washer solvent filler neck to upper tie bar and fasten it to 6 n.m (53 lb in) torque. Install the condenser seal back in place then pour solvent into the washer system before putting on the top cover.
