- Q: How to replace the wiper arm on a right-hand drive on 2007 Cadillac CTS?A: Begin fixing Wiper Arm replacement on right-hand drive vehicles by positioning wipers in the park mode and opening the hood assembly. Set both wiping arms on their designated points: driver side to orange line on the wiper tip visible at the center windshield bottom and passenger side to mark the orange tip on the inner wiper at the bottom center of windshield. Hold the Wiper Arm steady after you remove cover units (2, 5) from Wiper Arm nut (3, 6). Then take out the nuts (3, 6). When disiniping the driver side Wiper Arm you need to disconnect the upper hood assist rods from their ball studs and then push the hood towards the air inlet grille panel for support. When the arm stays fixed on the drive spindle use the Wiper Arm puller (J 39637) to detach it from the assembly. Scrub drive spindle knurls with a fine wire brush then take off the Wiper Blade from the Wiper Arm. Place the passenger side Wiper Arm when the tip matches with the orange dot and driver side Wiper Arm when the tip matches with the orange line. Afterward, secure the Wiper Blade with the Wiper Arm. Fit the Wiper Arm to the Drive Shaft then tighten the nuts (3, 6) to 35 n.m (26 lb ft) while holding it in place. Reassemble the hood assist rods to their ball studs , put back the wiper nut covers and test the wipers to make sure the driver wiper stays within its designated area.
