How to replace the front brake disc on 2007 Cadillac DTS?

To change the front Brake Disc, start from removing the tire and wheel assembly. Compress the Brake Caliper Piston using a c-clamp (J 41013) so that the caliper can slide away from the disc. After the removal of the mechanic's c-clamp, use heavy mechanic's wire to support the brake caliper in order not to hinder the damage on the hydraulic flexible brake hose. Then, remove the brake caliper and the caliper mounting bracket, together with the suspension knuckle, without strength put on the brake hose. Label the disc's position in relation to the hub, before taking it off. To install the new Brake Disc, use the clean hub/axle flange with any rust or contaminants using the wheel hub resurfacing kit (J 42450-A) and the rotor resurfacing kit (J 41013)). Check mating surfaces for debris, then install Brake Disc in proper orientation. If there is a misalignment or disc runout above the specified standards, re-alignment of the predator will be performed to ensure alignment with the specified standards. Else, fix it accordingly if it is beyond specifications. Finally, reinstall the Brake Caliper Bracket assembly, the tire and wheel assembly, and lower the vehicle while burning the pads and discs if needed.
