How to replace the front brake calipers (J55) on 2007 Cadillac DTS?

At first step inspect the front brake caliper master cylinder fluid tank. If fluid sits halfway between line marks you do not need to drain fluid but if it reaches further up in the tank lower it to the center position. Exploit the jack to lift the vehicle. Note the wheel position on the axle before you detach the tire and wheel parts. Use a large c-clamp tightly enough onto the brake caliper body that the caliper pistons can pass the brake rotor before removing the clamp. Remove and replace the brake hose gaskets on the caliper bolt and seal the openings with plugging tools to prevent fluid waste. Turn off brake caliper pin bolts then take out the brake caliper. Before putting in new parts clean the brake caliper bolts and retention items using denatured alcohol and dry them using filtered non-lubricated air. Place the brake caliper over the brake pads and into the bracket space by spreading thin silicone lubricant on the caliper pin bolts except Brake Pad parts. Place new copper brake hose gaskets on the brake caliper pin bolts before tightening them at 113 n.m (83 lb ft). Install the brake hose bolt through new gaskets then put it in place with the brake caliper and tighten to 45 n.m (33 lb ft). Drain brake fluid through the brake pedal while pressing it slowly from 0% to 67% of its range when the engine is off followed by releasing it slowly. Press the brake pedal each time for 15 seconds until a strong pedal feels normal which positions both pistons and brake pads correctly. Put back the tire and wheel set then lower down the vehicle.
