Beginning the replacement of the Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor requires first removing the fuel injector sight shield when needed. Begin by disconnecting the engine harness electrical connector from the MAP sensor then unscrew the MAP sensor bracket bolt and remove both bracket and MAP sensor. Begin sensor replacement by installing the new MAP sensor afterward adding the MAP sensor bracket to its proper position. Adhere to the Fastener Notice before tightening the MAP sensor bracket bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in). Reconnect the engine harness electrical connector to the MAP sensor then reinstall any removed fuel injector sight shield.
