- Q: How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) for Bank 2 Sensor 1 on 2007 Cadillac DTS?A: Prior to replacing the heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) for bank 2 sensor 1 it is essential to wait until the engine reaches a temperature above 48 °c (120°F) to make removal possible. Start the procedure by removing the air deflector and disconnected the connector position assurance (CPA) retainer. The engine harness electrical connector must be unbolted from the ho2s before you detach the ho2s clip from its engine bracket position. After disconnection you can remove the sensor. The installation process requires application of anti-seize compound gm p/n 12377953 or equivalent on ho2s threads because special anti-seize compound with liquid graphite and glass beads improves the ease of future ho2s removal. When installing the ho2s you should tighten it to 41 n.m (30 lb ft). Route the engine harness electrical connector toward the ho2s before you put on the cpa retainer along with the ho2s clip that requires connection to the engine bracket followed by air deflector replacement.
