How to replace the Rear Ride Height Sensor and Bracket on 2007 Cadillac SRX?

Replacements of the ride height sensor along with bracket at the rear must begin with vehicle elevation and support followed by tire and wheel removal. Detach the ride height sensor link from both the ball stud of the upper control arm and the ride height sensor harness connector. The ride height sensor retaining nut needs loosening followed by light impacts on the retaining stud to break the bond with the fender area. The vehicle must have the ride height sensor removed. Install the sensor by placing it properly within the vehicle and make sure the captured stud touches the keyhole base. Then slowly turn the sensor together with the bracket until the bracket slot fully accepts the bracket tab. The installation process requires continuous adjustment of the sensor bracket until it reaches a complete level position. Secure the ride height sensor retaining nut with 9 N.m torque value (80 lb in). Reroute the ride height sensor link to join the upper control arm ball stud with the ride height sensor harness connector. Reinstall the wheel combined with the tire then lower the vehicle down.
