How to replace the Rear Ride Height Sensor on 2008 Cadillac SRX?

The initial procedure to replace the Electronic Suspension Rear Position Sensor requires suspension of the vehicle and then wheel removal. Remove the tire and wheel next from the vehicle. First separate the ride sensor link from the ball stud of the upper control arm along with the harness connector for the ride sensor. The process begins by relaxing the rear ride sensor retaining nut before using light taps against the rear ride sensor retaining stud to detach the stud from the frame. Remove the rear ride sensor from the vehicle next. Place the sensor inside the vehicle while allowing the captured stud to sit at the bottom of the keyhole and turn the sensor counterclockwise until the bracket slot receives the tab. The sensor bracket needs adjustment until complete levelness is achieved. Apply and tighten the rear ride height sensor retaining nut to 9 N.m (80 lb in). Attach both the ride sensor link to the upper control arm ball stud alongside the ride sensor harness connector. Finish the procedure by putting the tire and wheel back before lowering the vehicle.
