Start by raising the vehicle before support to change the coil spring. You need to first remove the wheel and tire then disconnect the automatic level control sensor link and the head lamp adjustment link from the upper Control Arm. A suitable jack must first lift and support the lower Control Arm before removing the shock absorber lower mounting bolt. Support the rear frame first using a suitable jack while you lower the lower Control Arm. Begin coil spring replacement by unstowing the side frame bolts from the part requiring spring substitution then disassemble frame-to-body mounting bolts and washers until the frame rests at an acceptable height for coil spring removal. Following coil spring removal, replace it with the new spring and lift the frame to secure the frame to body mounting bolts and washers before tightening front bolts to 265 n.m (195 lb ft) and rear bolts to 191 n.m (140 lb ft). Take the jack off the vehicle before setting another jack under the lower Control Arm to lift the shock absorber until it reaches the knuckle position. Screw in the shock absorber lower retaining bolt with a torque setting at 150 n.m (111 lb ft). Reconnect the headlamp adjuster link and the automatic level control sensor link to the upper Control Arm before installing the tire and wheel then safely lowering the vehicle.
