How to replace the trailing arm on 2008 Cadillac SRX?

To replace the Trailing Arm; first, lift and prop up the vehicle. Do away with the tire and wheel after which remove the automatic level control link from the upper Control Arm. Next, remove the brake pipe bracket retaining nuts and remove the bracket off the mounting studs. Support the lower Control Arm using an appropriate jacking and then remove trailing link to knuckle nut and bolt. After the removal of the jack, support the frame with an appropriate jack and unscrew the front bolts of the frame before lowering the front of the rear frame. Cut off trailing link to frame nut and bolt then remove trailing link from vehicle. For installation, there is loose installation of the trailing link to the vehicle, the installation of the trailing link to frame bolt, and nut. Lift the frame with an appropriate jack, fixing the front bolts on the frame and tightening them to a torque of 265 n.m (195lbft). Discharge the jack and support the lower Control Arm with an appropriate jack for aligning the trailing link and the knuckle. Mount the trailing link to knuckle bolt and nut, with the trailing link to frame nut torqued 150 n.m (111 lb ft), and the trailing link to knuckle mounting bolt at 170 n.m (125 lb ft). Mount the brake pipe bracket onto the mounting studs and fasten it with the retaining nuts and tighten to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Lastly, connect the automatic level control link to the upper Control Arm, replace the tire and wheel and let the vehicle down.
