Start by lifting the vehicle then supporting it before removing wheels and tires to gain access to the shock absorber. Use the spring compressor to detach the shock module from the vehicle and place it into the device for insertion. Place upper Control Arm assembly marks along with the insulator before reinstallation and maintain the shock absorber with free movement while compression of the spring remains steady. The compressor forcing screw needs to be turned until the coil spring reaches proper compression for removing both the magnaride sensor nut and shock absorber upper retaining nut before extracting the shock absorber from the shock module. The compressor forcing screw allows removal of the upper mount plate and compression of the coil spring. Next comes the upper Control Arm bracket and insulator until they are fully detached. To install correctly position the upper Control Arm bracket alignment pins at a 90-degree angle with respect to shock absorber lower mounting holes. Put the shock absorber assembly together with the coil spring and insulator and upper Control Arm bracket inside the spring compressor, normalize all marks before using the screw to re-compress the coil spring. Set the shock absorber retaining nut to 25 n.m (18 lb ft) torque until tight then torque the magnaride sensor nut. Following removal of the shock module from the spring compressor resume its installation on the vehicle after which you can reinstall the tire and wheel and then lower the vehicle.

The task starts by lifting and supporting the vehicle and moving forward by removing the tire followed by the wheel installation. Start the procedure by disconnecting the shock module from its vehicle position then placing it inside the spring compressor tool. Take notes on the upper Control Arm assembly together with the insulator so you can restore them properly. Use the spring compressor forcing screw to extend it and simultaneously flatten the coil spring until no resistance remains during shock absorber movement. You need to eliminate the magnaride sensor nut alongside the shock absorber upper retaining nut before extracting the shock absorber from the shock module. You need to activate the compressor forcing screw to detach both the upper mounting plate and coil spring from the assembly and upper Control Arm bracket with its insulator. Placement of alignment pins in the upper Control Arm bracket at 90-degree angles to shock absorber lower mounting holes becomes essential before you install the coil spring, insulator, upper Control Arm bracket assembly, and shock absorber inside the spring compressor while line-up all installed marks. A second turn of the spring compressor forcing screw will compress the coil spring before you install and torque the shock absorber retaining nut to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Install the magnaride sensor nut while removing both the shock module along with the shock absorber from the spring compressor before reattaching the vehicle components. Lower the vehicle after reinstalling the tire followed by the wheel.

Remove the support and support the rear frame with a suitable jack.

Raise the frame and install the frame to body mounting bolts and washers.

Raise and support the vehicle.

Tighten the front bolts to 265 N.m (195 lb ft) and the rear bolts to 191 N.m (140 lb ft).

Place the new coil spring into the vehicle and raise the frame.

Reconnect the damper coil harness connector for vehicles with ESC, raise the vehicle again, and install the upper control arm to the steering knuckle, tightening the retaining nut to 80 Nm (59 lb ft).

Take them out, ensuring to lower the frame just enough to remove the coil spring without exceeding the guide pins.

Remove the frame bolts from the side where the coil spring is being replaced, including the frame to body side mounting bolts and washers.

Remove the jack from the vehicle, then place a suitable jack under the lower control arm and raise it until the shock absorber aligns with the knuckle.

Remove the support and then support the rear frame with a suitable jack.
