• Q: How to replace the Rocker Shaft Spring Kit and Valve Stem Oil Seal on the right side on 2007 Cadillac SRX?

  A: You must take off both right camshafts and the Starter before you can work on the valve stem oil seal and valve spring of the right side. Now mount the en 46326 flywheel holder. Thoroughly wipe the Spark Plug recess space to block dirt from getting into the Cylinder Head and take out the Spark Plug from the service cylinder. Put the j 44211 base plate on the Spark Plug hole while holding the j 39313 spark plug port adapter inside through the hole. Keep air pressure constant to seal the valve during installation. Push the j 44211 arm and swivel nut onto the valve stud but do not fully tighten it yet. Use a magnet to pull off valve stem locks and later loosen the swivel nut to swing the arm away to detach the valve spring retainer and valve spring. Use j 38820 to grasp the valve stem seal and unscrew it by turning and pulling until you release the old seal. Check the valve spring quality and apply engine oil on both valve stem and new seal inner diameter. Build up the valve stem with a seal protector afterward you should start the new valve stem seal into place utilizing the j 38820. Afterspreading the arm over the retainer fit it with the valve spring thensecure the swivel nut lightly to access the valve locks. Place valve locks into their grooves on the retainer using a magnet while greasing the area to secure them. Unscrew the j 44211 swivel nut and arm before releasing compressed air and pulling off the j 39313 from the Spark Plug hole. Put the Spark Plug into the j 44211 base plate space.
