How to replace the negative battery cable (LY7) on 2007 Cadillac STS?

To replace the negative Battery Cable (LY7), start with the removal of the negative cable from the battery, along with the instrument panel (I/P) harness electrical connector from the battery current sensor. Unbolt the negative Battery Cable that attaches to the side rail and remove the body harness connector from the negative cable, then pull off the stud securing the cable to the engine block. Keep lowering your vehicle and disconnecting the negative metal cable from the battery. In terms of installation, position the new negative Battery Cable and fasten it to the engine block stud, with measurement being tight 50 n.m (37 lb. Ft). Then, install the bolt to fasten the cable to the side rail by tightening it to 36 n.m (27 lb ft). Connect the body harness connector to the negative Battery Cable, then the i/p harness electrical connector to the battery current sensor, and lastly reconnect the negative Battery Cable.
