How to replace the starter motor (LY7) on 2007 Cadillac STS?

First, turn off the ignition and disconnect the battery negative cable to replace the Starter motor (LY7). Then, take out the left Catalytic Converter and follow this by disconnecting the Starter solenoid electrical connector from the Starter. Dislude the Starter terminal nut and the battery positive cable from the Starter, then the Starter motor bolts to extract the Starter motor. During topping, the Starter motor and mounting bolts are installed first by tightening to 50 n.m (37 lb ft). Reconnect the battery positive leads to the Starter and secure it using the Starter terminal nut; it should be tightened to 13 n.m (115 lb in). Finally, connect the electrical connector to solenoid Starter and reinstall the left Catalytic Converter.
