First, you should raise and support the vehicle to replace the fuel tank pressure sensor. Remove the fuel tank pressure sensor electrical connector . Pay attention to the fact that although there are alignment features on the canister, there are no locking tabs on the sensor/canister. The sensor is locked within the canister by the tight multiple lip seal. Eliminate the fuel tank pressure sensor from the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister. Installation involves inserting the fuel tank pressure sensor into the evap canister until it seats fully, re-connecting the fuel tank pressure sensor electrical connector, then lower the vehicle.
