The engine Drive Belt must be removed before starting the crankshaft balancer replacement. The Harmonic Balancer holder (J 38122-A) allows safe crankshaft rotation prevention while removing the crankshaft balancer bolt before discarding it. After the removal of the crankshaft balancer proceed to the next step. Install the new crankshaft balancer onto the crankshaft and insert a brand-new crankshaft balancer bolt after ensuring to read and follow the fastener notice. The Harmonic Balancer holder (J 38122-A) will secure the crankshaft during the tightening procedure when applying a torque of 100 n.m (74 lb ft) with an additional 75 degrees angle. Complete the procedure by installing the engine Drive Belt.
