How to replace the Front Cross-Member and Rear Crossmember on 2007 Chevrolet Colorado?

A lift has to raise the vehicle before beginning the replacement. Start by lifting the vehicle into position then unscrew the nuts and bolts from the crossmember followed by its removal from the vehicle. You should reintroduce the crossmember to its original position on the vehicle prior to installation. A proper installation begins by removing all remnants of original adhesive from the mating surfaces followed by cleaning the bolt threaded sections with denatured alcohol and waiting for them to become dry. The bolts require application of threadlocker gm p/n 12345493 (Canadian P/N 10953488). Next, insert all bolts and nuts then tighten them to 60 n.m (44 lb ft) before letting the vehicle lower.
