How to replace the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor on 2007 Chevrolet Corvette?

Start the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor replacement process by turning the ignition OFF then lifting your vehicle up. Lower the vehicle after draining the engine coolant below the sensor's level. During replacement of the ECT sensor disconnect its harness connector with caution while ensuring you protect the component because it functions as part of the fuel control system. Apply P/N 12346004 sealer (Canadian P/N 10953480 or equivalent) to the threads of the new sensor before sensor insertion. Secure the new ECT sensor using 20 N.m of torque while keeping a 15 lb ft firmness. After reattaching the ECT sensor electrical connector and adding engine coolant you can replace the cooling system cap.
