Start by removing the left Exhaust Manifold followed by the left Catalytic Converter from the vehicle. The procedure requires the technician to disconnect the Knock Sensor's mounting bolt while simultaneously separating the sensor's electrical connector from the engine harness . Extract the Knock Sensor from its position within the engine block . Installation requires connecting the Knock Sensor to the engine harness before placing it on the engine block where you should install the Knock Sensor mounting bolt. To properly install the Knock Sensor 1 bolt tighten it to 20 n.m (15 lb ft). Proceed to reinstall the left Exhaust Manifold and left Catalytic Converter before reconnecting the negative Battery Cable and programming the transmitters.
