How to replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor on 2007 Chevrolet Corvette?

Starting the replacement of the Crankshaft Position Sensor requires the vehicle to be lifted up while disconnecting the negative Battery Cable. Before installing the new sensor disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) electrical connector and clean the surrounding space around the ckp opening to avoid debris contamination inside the engine. Before installing the new sensor you must first remove the retaining bolt that holds the ckp sensor in place then the sensor itself. Start by mounting the ckp sensor then bolt it down securely while tightening the retaining bolt to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Reconnect the ckp sensor electrical connector as you reinstall the Starter before lowering the vehicle and reconnecting your negative Battery Cable. Program the transmitters after performing the ckp system variation learn procedure.
