2008 Chevrolet Corvette Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor on 2008 Chevrolet Corvette?
A: The maintenance process starts by turning ignition OFF while raising the vehicle. The engine coolant needs draining until its level descends beneath the ECT sensor before lowering the vehicle. Safely disconnect the harness connector from the ECT sensor so you avoid damaging any components which could impact the fuel control system. First wash the ECT sensor threads before applying sealer P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480) or its equivalent product. The ECT sensor installation requires a 20 N.m torque setting (15 lb ft). Replace the engine coolant and link the ECT sensor electrical wires to one another.
