  A: Before installing a new Camshaft Position Sensor you must remove the generator bracket assembly first. The Camshaft Position Sensor mounting bolts should be removed along with the Camshaft Position Sensor assembly components (4, 5, 6) from the front cover. Users must disconnect the Camshaft Position Sensor jumper harness and the engine harness electrical connectors before removing the sensor assembly (4, 5, 6) and detaching the Camshaft Position Sensor from its harness. Position first the camshaft sensor followed by the jumper harness before placing the o-ring on camshaft sensor assembly segments 4 and 5. Reinstall the engine harness connector after connecting the Camshaft Position Sensor assembly (4, 5, 6) while applying motor oil to o-ring before placement. Add the Camshaft Position Sensor assembly (4, 5, and 6) to the front cover after which you should fasten the Camshaft Position Sensor mounting bolts to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Finally, reinstall the generator assembly.
