2007 Chevrolet Corvette Wheel Bearing Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the rear wheel bearing and hub on 2007 Chevrolet Corvette?
A: Vehicle elevation and suspension support starts the replacement process of rear wheel bearings with hub assemblies. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor harness connector and esc rear position sensor link while also removing the brake caliper and rotor. You should start by disconnecting the shock absorber esc harness connector and after that separate the outer Tie Rod End from the suspension knuckle. The Spindle Nut retainer along with Spindle Nut and washer must be removed before you detach the upper Control Arm from the suspension knuckle. Separate the suspension knuckle both from the lower Control Arm ball joint stud then extract the suspension knuckle from the vehicle. Next continue with procedure by removing Wheel Hub mounting bolts followed by taking out the hub and bearing assembly from the suspension knuckle. When installing new components choosewheel speed sensors with the proper part number because front and rear sensors use exclusive parts. Position the Wheel Hub and bearing assembly onto the suspension knuckle while torquing Wheel Hub mounting bolts to 130 n.m (96 lb ft). Attach the suspension knuckle first to the upper Control Arm before attaching it to the lower Control Arm ball stud. After installing the Spindle Nut and washer and retainer, add the outer Tie Rod End stud to the suspension knuckle. Reinstall both the brake rotor and caliper while connecting the wheel speed sensor harness and shock absorber esc harness. Complete the installation by connecting the esc rear position sensor link and reattaching the tire and wheel assembly and then lowering the vehicle.
