How to replace the liftgate emblem/nameplate on 2007 Chevrolet Equinox?

Before installing the new emblem/nameplate you should place tape on the mounting area while marking its position for assembly. Circulate the heat gun beam across the emblem/nameplate surface from 152 mm (6 in) while heating it for 30 seconds. A plastic flat tool should be used to remove the emblem/nameplate from its surface. You need to use a 3M(TM) Scotch Brite molding adhesive remover disk (3M(TM) P/N 07501) to remove all adhesive from body panels while using VMP naphtha or a 50/50 isopropyl alcohol and water mix on plastic panels for proper removal. Implement this cleaning fluid to clean the setup location then dry it completely. When you have no marker on the surface apply tape to show the emblem placement. Place the EQUINOX nameplate 11 mm or .043 inches away on the left side of the liftgate with 160 mm or 6.3 inches downward from the centerline. Install the CHEVROLET emblem/nameplate 1.22 inches from the right edge of the liftgate while placing it 6.3 inches below the center line. Heating the surface to 80-105°F is possible if necessary but keep the emblem/nameplate temperature between 85-90°F before putting the adhesive on. Put the emblem/nameplate on top of the marks and push it evenly onto the surface until it sticks. Take off the protecting tape from where you want to place the emblem.
