2007 Chevrolet Impala Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the LH Motor and Transmission Mount on 2007 Chevrolet Impala?
A: In order to replace the left side transmission mount, first, lift up the vehicle and support it. Lift the left tire and wheel assembly as well as the left engine splash shield. Place a transmission jack under the transaxle and take out the transaxle mount upper nuts (N/A) from the transaxle bracket. Gently lift up the transaxle assembly, after which you remove the transaxle mount lower nuts (N/A) from the frame and remove the transaxle mount from the frame. For installation, set up the transaxle mount to the frame and then install the transaxle mount lower nuts (N/A) to the frame, tightening to 63 n.m (46 lb ft). Lower the transaxle so that the transaxle mount studs go into the transaxle bracket, install the transaxle mount upper nuts (N/A) and tighten them to 47 n.m. (35 lb ft). Finally, take off the transmission jack and place the left engine splash shield and the left wheel and tire assembly, dropping the vehicle.
