• Q: How to replace the intake manifold on 2007 Chevrolet Malibu?

  A: To get rid of the Intake Manifold, remove the Throttle Body Fuel Rail and the evaporative emissions (EVAP) canister purge solenoid valve tube. Roaching the brake booster vacuum hose clamp and removing brake booster hose from the Intake Manifold. Remove the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the fuel injector inline electrical connector and remove the fuel injector inline clip connector from the Intake Manifold. Now, service the tube for oil level indicator bolt and the knock sensor electrical connector clip from the oil level indicator tube and then position the oil level indicator tube depending on the requirement. Unclip the engine wiring harness clips from the Intake Manifold and the hooks of the Intake Manifold, disconnect the Intake Manifold lower bolts and take out the Intake Manifold upper bolt and nuts to remove the Intake Manifold itself. If replacing the Intake Manifold, replace it with a new gasket if needed. If reusing, check for damage on the Intake Manifold Gasket and replace the gasket where necessary. Installation: mount the Intake Manifold onto the studs, then install the Intake Manifold upper bolt and nuts, then Intake Manifold lower bolts arrangements and tighten the Intake Manifold lower bolts to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Replace the engine wiring harness clips to the Intake Manifold, position the oil level indicator tube, install the knock sensor electrical connector clip and the oil level indicator tube bolt, tighten it up to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Attached the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the fuel injector inline electrical connector and attach the fuel injector inline connector clip to the Intake Manifold. Lastly, start by installing the brake booster hose, repositioning the brake booster vacuum hose clamp, and installing the evap canister purge solenoid valve tube, fuel rail, and Throttle Body.
