The new auxiliary a/c evaporator tubes should be installed into the vehicle after splice connection since the tubes arrive in two separate sections. Secure the auxiliary a/c evaporator tubes to the clamps while installing the heater/a/c tubes retaining nut at the retaining studs and clips attached to the frame by tightening the nut up to 7 n.m (62 lb in). The installation task involves connecting the auxiliary a/c evaporator tubes to the txv tube and condenser tube by installing retaining nuts and tightening them to 16 n.m (12 lb ft). After reinstalling the air cleaner duct you can proceed with tubing the auxiliary a/c evaporator to the hvac module while you establish the retaining nut with 16 n.m (12 lb ft) torque. Secure the auxiliary evaporator tubes with retaining clips while installing nuts which need to be tightened to 4 n.m (35 lb in). The installation process requires the right rear inner wheelhouse liner if needed followed by lowering the vehicle and then recharging the system with refrigerant and conducting a leak test of component fittings with halogen leak detector (J 39400-A).
