In order to substitute the trailing arm, lift and stabilize the car. Take out the bolts and nuts holding the trailing arm and knuckle and bracket. Dis attach trailing arm, and install new one, with due precautions to fasteners. Lastly, drive the vehicle down once all have been secured.
