How to replace the Vehicle Speed Sensor on the 4T80-E Automatic Transaxle on 2008 Buick Lucerne?

The first step to replace the Vehicle Speed Sensor on the 4t80-e automatic transaxle requires lifting the vehicle. First remove the front transaxle brace securing bolts (1, 3) between the transaxle and right Cylinder Head. Start by disconnecting power to the Vehicle Speed Sensor until you can unthread the retaining bolt (131) and remove the sensor (130) by twisting the device while extracting it outward. During installation position the Vehicle Speed Sensor (130) along with the retaining bolt (131). Use a new o-ring seal on the sensor if required before tightening the bolt to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Reinstall the bolts (1, 3) while connecting electrical connector at sensor before driving down the vehicle.
