Start the process by raising the vehicle for 4t80-e automatic transaxle Vehicle Speed Sensor replacement. Take out the two bolts (1, 3) keeping the front transaxle brace attached to the transaxle and right engine side. Push down the Vehicle Speed Sensor knob to disconnect its power and take out the bolt (131) and sensor (130) by turning the sensor counterclockwise and pulling straight out. After inserting Vehicle Speed Sensor part 130 you should install the bolt 131 while also lining up a new o-ring seal. Then hand-tighten the bolt until torque reaches 10 n.m. Reinstall bolts 1 and 3 to fasten the front transaxle brace to its positions on the transaxle and right Cylinder Head. Reattach the electric Vehicle Speed Sensor connector afterward. Finally, lower the vehicle.

Vehicle height needs to be increased before replacing the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS). Start by removing bolts (1, 3) that hold the front transaxle brace to the transaxle and right Cylinder Head. Locate the electrical connector at the Vehicle Speed Sensor before removing the retaining bolt (131) and sensor (130) by twisting the sensor and pulling outward. Tighten the retaining bolt (131) to 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). Install the Vehicle Speed Sensor (130) along with a new o-ring seal. Reconnect the electrical sensor while reinstalling the bolts (1, 3) to the front transaxle brace for attachment with the transaxle and right Cylinder Head and then finish the procedure by lowering the vehicle.

Start the vss replacement by lifting the vehicle and removing the two bolts (1, 3) that hold the front transaxle brace to the transaxle and right Cylinder Head. Pull out the Vehicle Speed Sensor by twisting it first as you disconnect the electrical connector and release retaining bolt (131). During installation put a new o-ring sensor seal on the Vehicle Speed Sensor (130) and attach both pieces with the retaining bolt (131) which needs to be tightened to 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). Join the speed sensor electrical connector and bolt down point 1 and 3 in the transaxle-brace of the right Cylinder Head before lowering the vehicle.

Before working on the Vehicle Speed Sensor replacement you must raise your vehicle up and remove the bolts (1, 3) that keep the front transaxle brace fixed to its position. After pulling off the electrical connector from the Vehicle Speed Sensor you can remove bolt 131 and sensor 130 by twisting and pulling the sensor outward. When putting the vss in place lock down the parts by placing Vehicle Speed Sensor 130 together with retaining bolt 131 and use a fresh o-ring seal if needed. Tighten bolt 131 to 10 nm (89 inch-lbs). Connect the sensor electrical connector after placing bolts (1, 3) into the front transaxle brace to attach it to the transaxle and right Cylinder Head before the vehicle can be lowered.

Before replacing the Vehicle Speed Sensor you need to lift the vehicle. Take out the bolts 1 and 3 that attach the front transaxle brace to the transaxle and the right Cylinder Head. Pull off the Vehicle Speed Sensor (130) after disconnecting its electrical connector and removing bolt (131). Twist the sensor as you pull to assist the removal. Rephrase the following sentence considering the instructions below. An installation checklist includes connecting the Vehicle Speed Sensor (130) and fitting the retaining bolt (131) while replacing the seal when needed. Tighten the bolt to 10 nm (89 lb in). Attach the Vehicle Speed Sensor electrical connector and bolt down the two bolts (1, 3) at front transaxle brace while the vehicle is lowered.

Install the vehicle speed sensor and the retaining bolt, ensuring to tighten the bolt to 12 Nm (106 inch lbs.).

Connect the electrical connector to the sensor and lower the vehicle.

Disconnect the electrical connector at the vehicle speed sensor.

Ensure to install the vehicle speed sensor (130) and the retaining bolt (131), using a new O-ring seal on the sensor if necessary, and tighten the bolt to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).

Disconnect the electrical connector at the vehicle speed sensor.

Remove the bolts (1, 3) that secure the front transaxle brace to the transaxle and right cylinder head.

Follow the fastener notice in service precautions.

Reconnect the electrical connector at the sensor, then reinstall the bolts (1, 3) securing the front transaxle brace to the transaxle and right cylinder head before lowering the vehicle.

Reconnect the electrical connector at the sensor and lower the vehicle.

Place the vehicle speed sensor (130) and the retaining bolt (131), ensuring to install a new O-ring seal on the sensor if necessary, and tighten the bolt to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).

Reconnect the electrical connector at the sensor and lower the vehicle.

Tighten the retaining bolt to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.) after installing the vehicle speed sensor.
