Service of the vehicle speed sensor requires a platform to lift the vehicle and supporting it with safety stands. Use a screwdriver to disconnect the electrical connector from the vehicle speed sensor and then remove the sensor (131) along with its retaining bolt. Installation requires strict adherence to service precautions outlined in fastener notices. Mount the vehicle speed sensor along with its retaining bolt then tighten the bolt (131) to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.). To complete the installation reconnect the electrical connector at the sensor and remove the safety stands.
