How to replace the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) on 2002 Cadillac Seville?

Start by raising the vehicle before performing the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) replacement. First remove the bolts (1, 3) which hold the front transaxle brace to the transaxle and right Cylinder Head. Begin by disconnecting the electrical connector from the Vehicle Speed Sensor before removing the retaining bolt (131) and sensor (130). Twisting the sensor as you pull it outward will make removal easier. Install the Vehicle Speed Sensor (130) and its retaining bolt (131) while using a fresh o-ring seal on the device as needed and torque the bolt to 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). Reconnect the sensor's electrical connector before reinstalling bolts (1, 3) which anchor the front transaxle brace to both transaxle and right Cylinder Head while dropping the vehicle.
