How to replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor on 2002 Cadillac Seville?

To replace the Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor, first, lift and support the vehicle. Remove the air deflector and the oil filter adaptor and disconnect the crankshaft position sensor electrical connector. Then, take out the retaining bolt of the crankshaft sensor and the sensor. Before installation, ensure that the crankshaft sensor O-ring is not worn or damaged and replace it if so. Apply a little bit of clean engine oil to the o-ring and then proceed to install the crankshaft sensor after hooking it up with the retaining bolt that has to be tightened to 10 N.m(89 lb in). Fit the crankshaft position sensor electrical connector back, install a new oil filter adaptor, and air deflector. Lower the vehicle, start the engine, and inspect the crankshaft sensor for oil leak. Finally, execute the CKP System Variation Learn Procedure.
