The front transaxle brace must have its retaining bolts (1, 3) removed from its transaxle and right Cylinder Head attachment points. To replace the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) disconnect its electrical connector followed by unfastening the retaining bolt (131) and sensor (130). Tilt the sensor during removal to simplify its extraction. The vss (130) and its retaining bolt (131) require new o-ring installation before assembly. Install the parts according to the manual instructions and torque the bolt to 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). Proceed with sensor electrical connector reattachment before applying bolts (1, 3) to fasten front transaxle brace to transaxle and right Cylinder Head. Lower the vehicle afterward.
