• Q: How to replace the front side door handle cable on 2008 Cadillac XLR?

  A: Begin the front side door inside handle cable replacement by positioning the seat to its rear limit and pulling out both trim plugs from the fastener sockets of the floor-mounted door release. Take out the pushpin from the closest side of the front seat riser cover facing the door release. Tilt the seat riser cover forward to access the rear fastener of the door release before you remove both fasteners. Begin by putting the seat in forward position then disconnect the battery while taking out the door sill trim.
