How to replace the left side engine mount on 2008 Cadillac XLR?

The starting procedure for left side Engine Mount replacement involves disconnecting the front suspension crossmember. First detach the Engine Mount from the Engine Mount bracket by uninstalling its bracket nut and then remove its heat shield from the Engine Mount. Install the Engine Mount heat shield on the mount at its designated position with proper alignment of the locating dowel. Secure the Engine Mount onto the Engine Mount bracket before installing the Engine Mount-to-Engine Mount bracket nut while tightening it to 58 n.m (43 lb ft). Reinstall the front suspension crossmember as the last step.
