    A: The first step to replace the Crankshaft balancer starts by disconnecting the accessory Drive Belt followed by vehicle lifting and supporting. The power steering gear and Starter motor must be removed during the next stage of replacement. The first step involves installing the flywheel holding tool (EN 46326) before removing the Crankshaft balancer bolt. The Crankshaft balancer remover (J 41816) should be installed onto the Crankshaft balancer following the correct placement of the remover pilot into the Crankshaft end. Before fitting the Crankshaft balancer on the Crankshaft nose perform a thorough inspection then cleaning. Proceed with installing the Crankshaft balancer using the Crankshaft balancer installer (J 41998-B) while cleaning the Crankshaft balancer bolt threads before applying engine oil on them. Secure the Crankshaft balancer bolt to 50 n.m (37 lb ft) through one pass and continue tightening it another 120 degrees with an angle meter (J 45059). Lower the vehicle after you place the accessory Drive Belt then install the steering gear and Starter motor followed by installing the flywheel holding tool (EN 46326).
