    A: Replacing the Fuel Injector requires uninstalling the Fuel Rail as the first step. Push the locking tab found on the Fuel Rail until it reaches the center to separate the Fuel Injector. You should remove the upper and lower o-rings from the injector before discarding them as waste. Incorrect placement of replacement o-rings creates a hazardous fuel leak condition by generating potential fire risks and personal injuries; install blue o-rings at the upper position and black o-rings at the lower position when the o-rings differ in color. Carefully choose the appropriate part number during replacement and always perform o-ring replacement at service times because it stops vacuum leaks that could create driveability problems. Clean engine oil should be used to lubricate new upper and lower o-rings after which you should place them on the Fuel Injector to attach the injector to the Fuel Rail for subsequent reinstallation of the Fuel Rail.
