How to replace the Ignition Switch and start switch on 2008 Cadillac XLR?

In order to change the ignition and start switch, unplug the negative battery cable. Take out the driver knee bolster trim panel and the DIC switch. Unscrew the ignition switch connector and unplug the ignition switch on the DIC pod. Re-fit the parts and reconnect negative battery cable.
